Leave the opening small to attract smaller birds, like Wrens or Nuthatches, or stretch the hole and make it bigger if you want to attract larger birds.
There is a trapdoor on the bottom of the birdhouse which allows you to clean out last years nest. (The Magic Mushroom Birdhouse and the Barrel Cactus Birdhouse have a trapdoor on the side)
Approximately 6.5 x 11 (for taller ones) and 9.5 x 11.5 (more square ones) this depends on the style and shape of the birdhouse some could be slightly larger or slightly smaller - all are handmade so each one is individually made.
