This class will explore the basics of making different herbal broths, and the health benefits of the different herbs used.

We'll discuss different pungent veggies, mushrooms, herbs and culinary spices to understand how they impact the body.

We will sip on hot, vegan broth all the while! Throw on your apron, and join clinical herbalist and nutritionist Liz Faermark for this class on kitchen herbalism for immune health. 

We will learn how to use a classic mirepoix, discuss common kitchen spices like rosemary and thyme, learn about the medicinal benefits of basic kitchen staples like onions and garlic, snack on salty kelp, and dive into the world of medicinal mushrooms like shiitake!

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR

Liz Faermark is a Certified Clinical Herbalist and Clinical Nutritionist with over 10 years of experience in the world of holistic wellness. Her love of herbalism was born through her years of work as a Midwestern flower and herb farmer.

She graduated from Colorado School of Clinical Herbalism in 2020 with a well rounded training in both the art of herbalism and the practice of providing clinical care. Now she is an herbal educator teaching budding herbalists how to hone their craft.

She also works as a clinical herbalist through her business Talk Wild Herbs, coaching the herbal-curious in her community on ways to elevate their vitality. Empowering other people to confidently care for themselves using food and plants helps

Liz feel more hopeful about our individual and collective futures on Earth. We all deserve to access this knowledge and power, because it's a sustaining facet of our collective lineage.
