Cinco de Mayo & Mother's Day Recipes- Plus, Low Calore, Healthy Margaritas with Probiotics

By Crystal Baldwin

So much fun this week between Mother's Day and of course Cinco de Mayo.  Cocktails can be a part of both celebrations! Lets start with these margarita recipes!

We have something for everyone from super simple, classic margaritas, one glass at a time, a pitcher of margaritas  or a NA margarita with some added probiotics and low sugar, lets get started.

Classic Margaritas

Classic Margaritas by the Pitcher

If you need to please a crowd with a pitcher and don't want to do the math to make a single glass turn into a pitcher, this recipe is for you!  Allrecipes has this "Pitcher Perfect Margaritas" Recipe that will take care of all of your problems.  For a super healthy and refreshing version - see my recipe below.

Pour, Mix, Stir & Serve

Lush Margarita Mix is our favorite go to for so many different things.  First off, you can just mix some wine, tequila and water, stir and serve! Make 1 glass or a whole pitcher.

Make a Frozen Wine Margarita, Marg on the Rocks, or AF (Alcohol-Free) Margarita Mocktail in just 5 minutes with Lush Margarita!

Every vibrant & giftable canister is bursting with real foods. Real organic limes, oranges, Himalayan salt, and more. No other ingredients to buy, no mess, no work.

Low Sugar, Low Calorie NA or Regular margarita with Probiotics

This refreshing NA Kevita Mojita Margarita combines 15 oz of Mojita Lime Mint Kevita (not minty tasting in the end) with blended limes, Lush organic margarita mix  and  non-alcoholic Zero Proof tequila, add sweetener if you want it sweeter, blend into a slushy or pour over ice- you have an amazing, refreshing margarita with whole foods and low calories and probiotics!

The recipe provides a probiotic-packed, low-sugar, low calorie twist on a traditional margarita, perfect for a non-alcoholic alternative that is light and refreshing.  You can also add some Ritual Zero Proof Tequila for extra flavor- optional. Or add tequila for a traditional marg.

Watch me mix it up on Instagram

Of course you can always add tequila for a classic but low calorie margarita also with probiotics and refreshing fresh limes.

The KeVita is a wonderful and refreshing drink all on it's own with just 35 calores

Recipe

Ingredients:

15 oz Kevita Mojita Lime Mint Sparkling Probiotic Drink

2 whole limes, peeled with pith removed (white part)

2 Tablespoons Lush, Organic Margarita Mix  or any skinny margarita mix

2 oz Non-alcoholic Zero Proof tequila (optional, for more flavor)

1/2 tsp Stevia, Erythritol, or Monk fruit (for sweeter taste)

1-2 Cups Ice cubes

Garnish: Rim the glass with lime peel & salt, add a lime slice- optional

Instructions:

  1. Add the peeled limes, margarita mix, non-alcoholic tequila, Kevita, sweetener, and ice to a blender. Blend until smooth and slushy.
  2. Garnish the Glass, pour and serve
  3. For a more bubbly drink...Pour in the bottle of Kevita Mojita Lime Mint after you have blended the other ingredients and stir gently (do not re-blend to keep it bubbly).  Then Serve.
