Frozen Sangria Cocktails & Mocktails with Rocket Pops

Get ready for July 4th with some Cocktails & Mocktails that are fun, frozen or over ice, any way you like them!   Here are some ideas shared from the makers of Lush Organic Wine Mixers which makes your drinks come together so easily and quick so you can enjoy your July 4th instead of fussing in the kitchen or stuck bartending! 

 

2 Canisters of Lush Sangria Mix- Makes two different kinds of Sangria

 

                             

#1 White Sangria 

Use white wine for a light, refreshing, fruity cocktail serve over ice or frozen for a quick cool down

 

Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Mix 1 canister of Lush Organic Sangria Mix (great fruity flavor with real fruit)
  2. Add 1 bottle of white wine or for NA add 1 bottle of Joyus Sparkling White or Rosé Wine or Sparkling Seltzer or Club Soda.
  3. Add 1 bottle Water, Mix well and serve over ice
  4. Or Freeze for refreshing slushies
  5.  Make 1 with white wine following the directions on canister. If mocktail, substitute club soda for wine.
  6. Optional: add Jardin Florale Shimmer Elixir for a little beauty

#2 Red Sangria

Use a red wine for the full, classic Sangria Fruity Flavor Serve over ice or use our slushie pouch for easy freezing

   

Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Mix 1 canister of Lush Organic Sangria Mix (great fruity flavor) 
  2. Add 1 bottle of red wine or for NA add 1 bottle of Joyus NA Cabernet Sauvignon or Sparkling Seltzer or Club Soda with unsweetened Cranberry Juice
  3. Add 1 bottle Water, Mix well and serve over ice
  4. Or freeze for a frozen wine slushi

What are rosehips?

Rosehips are the fruit of the rose flower. Most people are familiar with and understand how touse rose petals but are not so familiar with rosehips.

If a rose is left on the plant and not picked, it is fertilized by pollinators and the petals will fall away.  The base of the flower then swells and develops its "fruit" which will look like a pod.

It is usually a soft peach color or can be pink during the hot months but once the frost hits the fruit it becomes a beautiful crimson color.  This is when the "hip" is ready to be eaten.
